The time the defense got eaten by an imaginary soap monster

It was the 28th of May and a bright sunny weather was the forecast. Perfect. My friends and I climbed into our limousine. Well actually it was a Santro. But that’s beside the point. My mom drove the three of us to my friend Kahaan’s birthday party at-
Soapy Football!!!!!!!!!
This was one of the most epic party places on the face of the Earth. My friends are all amazing footballers and so playing with them is always a challenge and so much fun, especially as the goal keeper. But it’s much better when they are shooting it not always reaches the goal and the striker may fall flat on his face. Yup, as the name suggests it was an inflatable football ground and they then put soapy water making it impossible to run properly. So anyway we divided into teams and the game started. It was a funny game because everybody was slipping and sliding. By half time the score was 15-16 to our team. We also had an Oreo break. After that the heat was on as both teams were fighting with all their might to get that win. After the game the score was 23 all and so we had a golden goal. It was so intense especially with the goalkeeping pressure. And then I heard a scream. A soap monster had been created by the soap water and had already indulged my defense. Now the opponent had a clear path to score and when he kicked the ball it went soaring to my goal and I was really scared jut then the monster swept down and ate the ball. Okay fine I might have got carried away but I promise I heard a scream and saw my teammates jumping up and down and realized we had scored the golden goal and won the match. We slideded with joy and me and my friend did the baller slide. It was so boss. We then had our dinner which consisted of pizza and burger. We had some cake and then took our leave. My mom was waiting in the limousine. But actually you know which car it was.

A man with an Afro, a Flute and an urban clay pot played as a instrument

A man with an Afro,
A Flute and an

An urban clay pot played as a instrument

What's better than eating a dairy milk silk while making an awesome Lego on a Saturday afternoon? Nothing, right?! Except if you get concert tickets to Bryan Adams concert or passes to see the world's best Lego sculptures. So on that Saturday, Dad walks in waving two tickets in hand and hope their not to a Hindi movie. I got up to see it when I tripped over my Lego, breaking it, swatting out those tickets and falling face first on the floor. One ticket had fallen next to me and rubbing my nose I took a glace. It showed two men, one playing a flute, the other with some metal stick and had an afro like hair. My mom explained to me that dad and I were going to a concert where we were going to listen to them play their instrument. I nodded as I wanted to get some time alone with dad and find out which instrument he was playing which needed metal sticks and were not drums.

So by 7:00 p.m. I was seated with dad in the fifth row from the stage. Finally it stated and two men walked in. Dad said that they were Pandit Shivkumar Sharma and Pandit Hariprsad Chaurasya. So he uncovered the instrument I wanted to see. I couldn’t see what it was but the way he played it was something like the drums. Except that it sounded like a piano. An Indian piano. Aarrrrrgh!!!!. It was so confusing. They started off and it sounded eerie. He leaned a bit forward and for a split second I could see the thing. It had lots of strings and was like the inside of a piano.

So my curiousness level had gone done so I was ready to leave but I saw dad enjoying it, I waited. Then these two other men walked in and one sat near a pair of Tablas and one near two Tablas combined and like a Dhol but not a Dhol but something like that. Aarrrrrgh!!!!. I was going to tear my hair apart! Indian instruments are so confusing. So dad must have read my thoughts and said that it was a Mridangam. The name itself was so hard to spell, forget about playing it. All of them played together and then suddenly some very old person walked onto stage.

He sat down and he revealed his instrument (doesn't this feel like suspense?). It was a hard-dried clay pot on which he kept on banging. For ten minutes none of the others played a single note as this man banged the pot with so much ease and the sound coming out was also very different.  First he was playing in the middle. Then he covered the top of the Ghatak as they called it and the sound echoed. He then went back to normal but the next minute he was hitting the down part of the pot. He then started banging on the stage and then went  back to normal. The normalise was lasted only ten seconds and then he started throwing it up and down! After he was done he got a standing aviation by the whole audience. All of them than played together on and off and I swear I could have gone to sleep. I did and after the show dad woke me up and said it was time to leave. We had a short and good dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Getting home I felt that i had got to go to such a new type of concert and i was very thankful

The next day i wrote this and my mother was so happy that i had finished it before she told me.

Horse Riding at Mahabaleshwar

Horse riding at mahabaleshwar
My bum had gone asleep on the saddle seat! It was a bumpy ride.
It started at eight -thirty and went till twelve. At seven the alarm started beeping the only song that was in my mom's phone ' Suno Na'. I was half asleep half awake when I bumped into my cupboard. It was New year so we had slept at twelve and so I had a problem waking up. I quickly changed in my jeans and headed out to take a cookie. We had a dry breakfast of some Rava Idli, when we heard horses coming through are gate. Jumping of the sofa my sister and I saddled up while my parents prepared our bag. We then set off with my parents walking behind us while we went on horseback.

We took a very small road to something like a forest where my horse kept on eating the leaves around us.

We then had to get off to see our destination. It was a beautiful waterfall which ran through a village.  We then walked through a very small passage which took us back to the horses where I saw my dad talking to the caretaker. He told me we were going on an extensive trip to the village. I was so happy! From a two hour journey it became a five hour one! We approached the village where many people were gaping with awe as this was not a normal horse path. The village was dug up so we had to cross streams and take many D tours. We stopped at strawberry farms. At one we stopped and plucked some strawberries to eat. We the crossed another stream and then we took off like the wind, the horse galloping as fast as he could on a rocky road like this. We stopped occasionally at places for my mother to catch up. After some time we came to a small road where two big busses were facing each other. The conducted was out prodding a dog with a stick so got off to give him a peace of my mind. After fifteen minutes we were all tired (including the horse)but we finally reached our stop, the market. We had a good breakfast there and we all walked back to our bungalow. It had been a very good day and feeling nice I wrote this.

Elipsis

We went to one of the coolest restaurants in Mumbai and I want to share my experience with you. Let me start by saying that I have no words saying how the presentation of the food was. It was an experience like in a master chef tasting room.

We first called for starters which on the menu  looked like a good idea. They change the menu everyday and each kind dish had a different name and different contents. They had typed it very close to each other and with the dim lights I could not make out a word and left the ordering to my mom. I thought the menu should be spaced out.

We called for flatbread which was a crisp bread with mushroom truffle and arugula leaves. We also called for spinach & arugula salad and as the name suggests it is filled with spinach, arugula leaves and some big blobs of goat cheese with candied nuts. We called for cauliflower soup and they served it in a UFO looking plate. The presentation  was astounding.

For the main course we called gnocchi in broccoli, Parmesan and ceremele sauce. Gnocchi was something we had heard only on Master chef. It was nice to taste it.  We also had popcorn grits. Now, can you imagine having popcorn for dinner! I called for it but didn't like it so much.

Last , we called for the dessert Rocky Roads. It had chocolate balls, peanut  ice cream, caramel sauce and a bed of marshmallows. The marshmallows were at the bottom followed by the ice cream and caramel sauce. Then came the chocolate balls which were dipped in nitrogen gas which made it impossible to brake but when you put it in your mouth, it melts.

My experience at Elipsis was great, if you go then leave a comment  on how you liked it.

Horse Riding

I went horse riding to the Embassy International Riding School on Sunday the 6th for 'Own A Horse Day'. It was drizzling and our car was parked in the muddy parking lot. Just when the black Honda was out of sight, my sister and I walked to the stables.

Our teacher was there with three other children and we mounted our horses, all from the left. We were guided by the helpers to the arena and were left. Our instructor, Miss Anna was there telling us what to do. My horses name was Appache, a white stallion, whereas  my sister had a pony, Floatsy. My sister's horse was laziest and she kept running the wrong side the whole time. We did sitting and sitting and rising trot, which was the bumpiest ride. We did the changing direction game and finally the game called crocodile. We had to go between two sticks and could not step out of the line. We went into the cafe for a break, all drenched.

We ate some popcorn and some juice and back to the stable. We got our horses and we groomed them and cleaned their hooves. Now came the stinky part where we had to clean the stables, free of poop. Disgusting. We then took out for a walk and mounted them to go for a ride in the woods opposite the Embassy. It was a forty-five minute ride and it was loads of fun. We came back tired, sat in our car and my mom put her foot on the gas and sped off.

LETS BUILD UP

LETS BUILD UP

The Second Movie I Saw

The Lego movie is an enriching experience to all Lego fans. It is an animated plus reality movie. The movie is about lord business who steals the Kragle (glue, but big in the Lego world) and plans to spray it on the city because many of the master builders are breaking his creations and making new ones. To ordinary people he is just president business and is a friendly guy. So, the master builders in order to save the city have to stop him. They have to take the piece of resistance (the cap of the glue) and attach it to the glue. But the problem is they can’t find the piece. But an ordinary construction worker, Emmet, falls in to a hole and touches the piece and it gets stuck to him. The cops who work for the lord take him and tried to take the piece away from him but Wlydstyle, a master builder comes to rescue. At first she respects him and helps him get away but she didn’t realize that he wasn’t even a master builder! She takes him to Vitruvius an old master builder and together they go on a mission to stop the lord. The first go to cloudy land to gather more master builders. They are caught unawares by lord business cops and most of the master builders are taken away to the lord’s tower. Only a few survive that were Vitruvius, Emmet , Wlydstyle, Batman and a pony. They leave in a submarine but that was also hit by one of the cops. Thanks to Emmet’s idea they survived in a useless creation, a double Decker sofa. They used over 3,863,484 unique bricks for this spectacular movie. The movie is well directed and has its own humor and never goes down. The directors Phil lord and Christopher miller have done a spectacular job to direct this film. Both youngsters and elders will really love this film.

THE BOOK I READ

The series of books that I am reading is the Percy Jackson series followed by the Heroes Of Olympus by the same author RICK RIORDIAN who is the best-selling author famous for the KANE CHRONICLES, THE 39 CLUES etc. Anyway, the books mentioned in the two series are:
PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTNING THIEF
PERCY JACKSON AND THE SEA OF MONSTERS
PERCY JACKSON AND THE TITANS CURSE
PERCY JACKSON AND THE BATTLE OF THE LABRYNITH
PERCY JACKSON AND THE LAST OLYMPIAN

HEROES OF OLYMPUS:THE LOST HERO
HEROES OF OLYMPUS:SON OF NEPTUNE
HEROES OF OLYMPUS:THE MARK OF ATHENA
HEROES OF OLYMPUS:THE HOUSE OF HADES

Well the series is about this boy named Percy Jackson going on quests with his friends. He realises he is a DEMIGOD (WHICH MEANS HALF MORTAL HALF GOD)and his dad is POSIEDEN the god of the sea so Percy can breathe normally and talk to horses as his dads sacred animal is the horse. The 7 Olympian major Greek guy gods are :
GOD
SPHERE OF CONTROL
SACRED SYMBOL,ANIMAL
ZEUS
SKY
EAGLE,LIGHTNING BOLT
HADES
UNDERWORLD
HELM OF DARKNESS
POSIEDEN
SEA,EARTHQUAKES
HORSE, TRIDENT
ARES
WAR
BOAR, BLOODY SPEAR
DIONYSIUS
GRAPES,WINE,PARTIES
GRAPES,LEOPARD
HERMES
TRAVELLERS,ROADWAYS etc
WINGED HELMET AND SANDALS
APOLLO

HEPHUSTUS
MEDICINE,POEMS,SUN,ARCHERY

FIRE,MACHINES

ANVIL

Well, those were guy gods and now  come the girl gods-
GODDES
SPHERE OF CONTROL
SACRED ANIMAL,  SYMBOL
HERA
MOTHERHOOD, MARRIGE
COW,PEACOCK
ATHENA
WISDOM,CRAFT,WAR
OWL
APHRODITE
LOVE
DOVE, HEART
ARTEMIS
MAIDEN GIRLS,ARCHERY
BEAR
HESTIA
HEARTH
CRANE,HEARTH
The book is well written and middle-paced. Its serious sometimes, sometimes funny and most of all: Knowledgeable. I mean I didn't know about Greek  gods before I read the series. But my opinion to the author  is that the heroes of Olympus series, each book was five hundred pages long and he should make the story a little more concise. Other than that the books were mind blowing

So this is the series I just read and I waiting for only the last book: The house of Hades
