A field trip to the airport

A field trip to the airport
Is it the morning? No, like THE MORNING? The morning when I go to Rishikesh? Naw. It was the 12th, but we never made it.

Waking up in the morning at 6:00 am on a Saturday? Not a chance. But I have to. I quickly re checked the contents of my suit case and backpack and quickly gobbled up my cheerios. We were going to be late but we finally sat in the car and drove off to school. I was the first one from my class there. Slowly my classmates trickled in and we were pretty soon all there.
There were a 160 children along with 20 teachers going this year. So you can imagine the ruckus. When we reached Chatrapati Shivaji airport, you could imagine the scene. 160 children for check-in and security =dead meat.

We then sat down comfortably and took up one full section. We were there for 8 hours. You may imagine the airport authorities.

So basically our flight got cancelled. After 8 hours, the guys said- Your flight got cancelled. Come back tomorrow. just that. Nothing else. non.

Apparently, a military aircraft had attempted to land on the runway and then the tire burst. Ka-booooom. They had no apparatus to remove the plane. The runway was blocked  and no more planes were allowed to land. The machines would come from Agra and the runway would be cleared by 10:00 pm. We were sent back home and our flight was shifted to the next day. Everyone dejected, we went back home.

A Day in with my friends

A Day in with my friends
Now some people may think my title is quirky. But before I tell you the story about this title, let me tell you this story-
My legs were shaking. My hands were shaking. My body was shaking. My body was sweating so much that the entire River Nile could be filled up. The government wouldn't need lake Victoria after all. Then the end of the world began. The teacher called my name.

My legs were not shaking. My hands were not shaking. My body stopped shaking. I had stopped sweating but was still drenched in it. I had aced it. I had just got my History and Math paper back. Got an A and A+ in both of them. I had just handed back my paper when the bell rang. I was so excited for the part of the day that was yet to come
.
As everyone hustled out of school I whistled for my friends to follow me. It was such a rush. Guess everybody wanted to get out. So, along with 7 friends and 1 very annoying sister, we made our way to the awaiting limousines (a.k.a Honda Cities) and made our way home.

We went up to our house where most of the people were so hungry that they immediately started to eat. Those who didn't sat on couch. Those who did were not plentiful. That's because everyone could smell the delicious food being prepared by my mother. Every one sat at the table. And we talked. And we talked. And we laughed. We shared our feelings.

We were actually having this party as a science group meeting. A month ago, we were assigned our groups by our Science Teacher. My group members lived very close to each other, so we were frequently meeting up and our project was pretty good. We had the topic- The Moon which quickly turned into ZE MOON as my friend Vir and I were obsessed with using French accents. We all got A+ and so we were meeting to celebrate. We had decided to do nothing on the first meeting and we would-
·         Chat
·         Eat some food
·         Go down and play football
·         Do 10 minutes of work
·         Discuss our feelings
We didn't do any of these except point no. one. So since we didn't get to discuss our feelings on that day, we did it today. After eating we had brilliant desert and then played some games. We played 12 different games. Now that may sound like a lot. But each game lasted for about 5 minutes each. We got bored when one genius came up with the idea to do a slow motion video. We actually didn't do one but 6. I am not allowed to share them as my co-s would not like them to be shared.

After making these videos, we went down to play. It was so much fun. We played lock and key in the playground and that continued for 1 1/2 hours. We then played Kabbadi and football. At six o'clock we all went up to have hot cookies and cold coffee. Then everybody had to be dropped. We went on a round trip to drop each and every person to their respective houses. Since everyone lived close it was not much of a hassle except when we came back we got so much traffic it was not funny. After coming home I was so exhausted but I had had a really good day.

Almost forgot. Promised you a story about the title. Since they came to my house, I was not out of the house and in hence the title.
